The ASEAN Young Scientists Network (ASEAN YSN), in collaboration with CAISTC, Sunway iLabs, and Sunway University, Malaysia is launching a joint initiative to foster youth-led innovation focused on addressing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Targeting high school and undergraduate students (aged 16–25) from China and ASEAN countries, the programme encourages creative solutions to global challenges like climate change, food security, and renewable energy.

The BICTA Award is an annual initiative co-organised by the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, AITI, and IFB. It aims to promote innovation and creativity in the ICT sector among individuals, students, associations, and SMEs. BICTA serves as a national platform for local ICT talents to compete and stand a chance to win prizes of up to B$5,000, as well as the opportunity to represent Brunei at the regional Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA), which includes member economies such as Australia, China, Malaysia, and Singapore.
