Smart Coating Technologies (B) Sdn Bhd Signed Licensing Agreement with Universiti Brunei Darussalam

GADONG, 8 MAY 2018 – Smart Coating Technologies (B) Sdn Bhd has officially entered into a licensing agreement with Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), marking a significant step forward in research commercialisation and industry collaboration.

Under this agreement, Smart Coating Technologies (B) Sdn Bhd is granted the rights to manufacture, market, and export UBD’s patented 'Anti-Bacterial and Anti-Fungal Photocatalytic Coating' — a high-quality protective coating developed and made in Brunei Darussalam by UBD. 

The company aims to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s economic diversification efforts by commercialising homegrown innovation, in line with the national vision of Wawasan 2035.

Smart Coating Technologies expressed its appreciation to UBD for the trust and support extended throughout the process and looks forward to the success of this partnership in driving forward Brunei’s innovation and industrial capabilities.
