UBD Visits AmiproSimpor Sdn Bhd

19 MARCH 2026 - Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) recently conducted an industry engagement visit to AmiproSimpor Sdn Bhd at the Salambigar Industrial Park, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen university–industry collaboration.

The delegation was led by YM Dr Haji Masairol bin Haji Masri, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Industry Engagement & Enterprise Development), and included representatives from the Office of Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Industry Engagement & Enterprise Development), Office of the Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation & Sustainability), PAPRSB Institute of Health Sciences (IHS), and the Faculty of Science (FOS).

Upon arrival, the delegation was received by Dr Asraf Ali Mohamed Kassim, Managing Director of AmiproSimpor Sdn Bhd. Discussions during the visit focused on areas of mutual interest, with both parties exchanging views on potential collaborations that could contribute to research advancement, innovation, and industry development, then proceeded with a tour of the company’s facilities, providing UBD delegation with insights into its operations.

The visit finally concluded with an engagement session with UBD alumni currently employed at the company, highlighting the role of UBD graduates in supporting industry growth.
