Mentors Gathers at University Mentors for Entrepreneurs Network (U-Men) Event

On Friday, 13 February 2026, the Office of AVC Industry Engagement and Enterprise Development (IEED) at Universiti Brunei Darussalam successfully organised the Mentor Entrepreneur and Network (UMEN) Session. The session brought together 10 experienced internal and external mentors and eight groups of 25 U-Beyond students in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

UMEN is one of the key initiatives under the UBD Entrepreneurship Blueprint, supporting both the U-Beyond and U-Beyond X programmes. The session aimed to foster meaningful connections between students and mentors by providing a platform for students to present their project ideas, receive constructive feedback, and explore potential mentorship opportunities.

Through guided discussions and interactive networking activities, students shared their project goals, challenges, and development plans, while mentors contributed valuable insights drawn from their professional expertise and industry experience.

The primary objective of the session was to strategically match students’ projects with suitable mentors, ensuring strong alignment in expertise, industry background, and project needs. This initiative reinforces the U-Beyond programme’s commitment to strengthening innovation, entrepreneurial growth, and real-world guidance for student-led ventures.
