Opening Doors to Employment and Networking Opportunities at UBD Career Fair 2025

Fresh graduates and job seekers are being urged to seize opportunities at the 10th Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Career Fair 2025, which was officially launched Thursday at the Chancellor Hall, UBD.

Held under the theme “Bridging Your Future”, the three-day fair features over 50 booths offering career, internship, and personal development opportunities from leading employers and industry professionals.

The event also hosts a series of talks and workshops by local and international organisations, including The World Bank Group, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Leadership Morph, the Brunei Darussalam Capital Market Association (BCMA), the Brunei Darussalam Institute of Certified Public Accountants (BICPA), and Progresif Sdn Bhd.

Adding a unique touch are the “Fireside Chats” organised by the Office of University Alumni, featuring inspiring UBD alumni such as entrepreneurs Haji Ahmad Huzaimi Johari of The Boy Who Bakes and Dr Nazurah Salleh of Chef Create; career coaches Nuramalina Abang Haji Kifrawi and Hidayatul Atiqah Haji Mohd Jeff Fariz; youth advocate Yura Qaisarah; youth leaders Malai Didi Malai Haji Abdullah of SMARTER Brunei and Firzanah Zaman; and filmmakers Haziq Sahminan of Film Cartel and Syafi Halim of New Wave Films.

Guest of honour, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the Ministry of Education and UBD Council Member Dr Haji Azman Ahmad, officiated the launch. He was joined by senior officials from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance and Economy, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and UBD Vice-Chancellor Dr Hazri Haji Kifle.

As part of the launch, Dr Haji Azman introduced the new Industry Engagement and Enterprise Development (IEED) website, https://ieed.ubd.edu.bn
